Thunderbird Beach Resort, Treasure Island

The hotel was a lovely place for us to enjoy a short stay. The rooms were bright, clean, and had a wide selection of TV channels, making our stay perfect. The service was top-notch, with helpful and pleasant staff, though there was a minor mix-up handled well. The location was excellent, right on the beach with a big pool and tiki bar, surrounded by restaurants and shops, and just a short distance to transport options. Dining, while a bit slow, offered heavy pours, but Foxys across the road was a popular option. Facilities were up-to-date and satisfactory.

The hotel has spacious rooms that were disappointing due to being in their older building and near a maintenance closet. The pool area needs maintenance, and there were ashtrays in a nonsmoking property. However, the service from the housekeeping staff was fantastic, making the stay enjoyable.

The hotel has some nice improvements being made in the rooms, despite some dust and grime on the lamps. Overall, it needs a little TLC but has all the necessary amenities. The service was responsive and courteous, although there was a small issue with the TV. The location is convenient, close to the beach, restaurants, and shopping areas. However, the dining experience is slow, and it's better to eat at a nearby restaurant.
